                           Lost and Found

Prologue:
Coy and Vance had come and gone and were now in Atlanta, working. Jennifer Allen had died in a car accident shortly after they had left Hazzard and she was now buried in the Hazzard Cemetary. Unfortunatly for Coy and Vance, they had found out a few things while working for a construction company that had put their lives in great danger. They had gone to the FBI about it and the Feds said they would look into it. That is were this story picks up. Coy and Vance are now missing and Richard Smith, who is head of the case, is trying to find them.

Atlanta: The Federal Building
The head FBI agent for the Atlanta Group, Richard Smith, sighed wearily as he listened to an agent give him a briefing. He held up his hand to silence the younger man.
"So, what your saying in a nutshell is Coy and Vance Duke are missing and you have no leads at the moment?" Richard asked with some irratation in his voice.
The young agent nodded and sighed "Yes sir," he said
Richard grunted "Well i guess you had better go and find us some leads before Coy and Vance wind up sleeping with the fish if you take my meaning Mr. Jackson" he said
Jackson nodded and retreated quickly from the room, passing another agent on the way in. Richard scoweled at the new arrival who didn't see to notice.
"What is it Clint?" Richard asked
Clint waved a brown manila folder in his hands at Richard and then put it down on his desk.
"I got the pictures you wanted." Clint told him and then added "There is also a picture in there of the whole family."
Richard nodded as he opened the envolope. He took out a stack of pictures. The one on top was of the house. "I take it this is the house."
Clint nodded "Yes sir." he said and came around the desk to stand behind Richard "That," he said pointing to the large building in the center of the picture. "Is the main house and as you can see there are other smaller houses around it. Probably where guards and such sleep. The whole compound is surrounded by an electrical fence."
"So if Coy and Vance are in there, we might not be able to get them out?" Richard asked.
Clint nodded "If in fact they are there, then more than likely not."
Richard sighed and leaned back in his chair "What do we know about this guy?"
"Well, for starters his name is Michael Davis and he has only been in Atlanta for little under a year." Clint said and then went on "We know he has no connection with the mob, he's self employed and we also know the FBI in several other states has been trying to get him for years."
Richard whistled softly "What is he doing in Atlanta and what are the charges he's wanted for." he asked
Clint sighed "He's into construction and is building that new high rise down near Lenox Mall." he said "As for what he's wanted for, about everything in the book including murder they just haven't been able to make anything stick. There are also rumors running around that his daughter was an illegal adoption."
Richard worked through the rest of the house photos and came to the picture of the whole family. It portrayed what looked to be like a nice family. Michael Davis looked like he could be your next door neighbor and so did his wife. Richard's eyes settled on the girl in the middle, what looked like to be their daughter. He narrowed his eyes and looked closer, an uneasy feeling forming in the pit of his stomach.
"What's the girls name?" Richard asked not looking up from the picture.
"We're not sure yet sir." Clint admitted.
Richard looked up "I want you to find out everything there is to know about her." he said and as Clint nodded "Also keep working on finding Coy and Vance. I want those to back alive otherwise i'm going to have some angry relatives on my hands." he said
Richard sighed loudly as Clint almost ran out the door. After thinking for a minute, he picked up the phone. He was going to call his wife first and then the Dukes.

Duke Farm: early afternoon
Uncle Jesse looked up from his paper as his nephews walked into the house. He smiled and put down the paper.
"Did you get the fence fixed?" he asked
Bo nodded, pushing his bangs out of his eyes "Yes sir."
"Good." Jesse said and was about to say more when the phone started ringing.
"I'll get it." Luke said walking to the phone and picking it up. "Duke Residence. Luke speeking." he said
"Hey Luke this is Richard Smith. Do you remember me?"
"Oh hey Mr. Smith. How are you?" he asked and then mouthed who it was to Jesse and Bo who nodded, but remained where they were in the living room.
"Luke i have some bad news. Coy and Vance are missing." Richard said and then went on before Luke could say anything. "They found out some things at the job they working at that put their lives in danger and they came to us about it. We were looking into it, but somehow someone managed to grab your cousins before we could do anything."
Luke was alarmed and made a quick decision "We'll be up there as soon as we can." he said.
Richard sighed. "I would tell you no, but i know you won't listen." he said and then added "Could you put Jesse on the phone, please. I need to speak to him and i'll let him know how to get to my house."
"Sure." Luke said "Thanks for calling.
Luke put the phone down on the table and walked into the living room. "Uncle Jesse, Mr.Smith would like to talk to you."
Jesse frowned, but got up and walked over to the phone.
Luke filled Bo in as Jesse talked on the phone.
"Richard, how are you?" Jesse asked.
"I'm alright Jesse." Richard told him "But we have a bit of a situation here, Coy and Vance are missing."
Jesse's features lowered into a frown "How?" he asked
Richard sighed "They found some stuff out at a job they were working at that placed their lives in danger." he said, quickly outlining what he had just said to Luke "They came to us and we were looking into it, but someone grabbed them before we could do anything."
"What can we do to help?" Jesse asked
"I normally would want you to stay out of this and let us do our job, but i know your family to well." Richard said "Why don't ya'll come on up and we'll see what you can do."
"That's fine. Do you want just Bo and Luke or should i come to?" he asked.
Richard sighed "You need to come also. We think we may have found something else." he stopped for a moment and then went on. "Jesse, we think that the guy who may have Coy and Vance also has Bo's twin sister."
"What?" Jesse said, surprised
"We don't know for sure, but the girl looks to much like Bo not to be her. Didn't Mary Ellen have twins?"
Jesse nodded "Yes, she did and the little girl was taken from the hospital." he answered.
"Ok, we don't know for sure, but this could be her." Richard said.
"When do you want us up there?" Jesse asked
"Can you get here tonight?" Richard asked
"Yes. I need directions though." Jesse answered
The phone conversation lasted for a few more minutes. After Jesse got off the phone he did not tell the boys about the other thing he had found out, figuring it could wait until they got to Atlanta.

A few hours later, they left Hazzard. It had taken them a little while to pack and then finding Daisy to tell her where they were going. She asked if she could go, and Jesse told her no that if they needed her they would send for her.  Finally, later in the day they were on the road to Atlanta
They arrived in Atlanta around 7:30 that night. Pulling out the directions, they followed them and arrived at Richard and his wife's house around 8:00.
"I guess this is the place." Luke commented as he looked at the two story house in front of them.
A figure came out of the house and Jesse recognized her to be Sarah.
"This is the place." he said "That's Sarah. Come on."
All three got out of the Pick up. They had driven up in that thinking it would look weird driving the General around in Atlanta.
"Jesse." Sarah said as she came towards
"Hello Sarah," Jesse said as he hugged her "How are you?"
Sarah smiled "I'm doing ok Jesse. Richard will be home in a little bit." she said and looked at Bo and Luke "I guess this is Bo and Luke. It's been awhile since i've seen them."
Jesse nodded and introduced the boys to Sarah.
"You look alot like your mother Bo and you do have your father in you to." Sarah said
Bo was unsure of how to respond and just nodded. Sarah smiled at him to let him know she understood.
"Well, if you would follow me." she said and started back inside
Jesse, Luke and Bo picked up their luggage and followed her inside.
Once they were in they looked around at their surroundings. It was a nice two story house and it made them feel really at home. Even though Richard was in a dangerous line of work, they had taken the time to really work on the house and make it like this.
"Ya'll can put your luggage at the foot of the stairs. We'll take it up later." she said and then added "Would you like anything to drink?"
"Whatever you have is fine." Jesse answered for them all.
"Is coffee ok?" she asked as she walked back towars the kitchen
"Yes." all three said at once.
Sarah came back a few minutes later with mugs and the coffee pot. She gave them to each of the men and pored the coffee. She then pored herself some coffee and sat down in a chair.
"I'm sorry we have to meet under these circumstances."
Jesse sighed "I am to." he said "I just hope we can find the boys."
Just then they heard the front door open and Richard call out to his wife.
"I'm in here honey." she said
Richard walked into the living room. He looked irratated but otherwise alright. He looked at Jesse and the two boys and nodded
"Was your drive up here ok?" he asked
"It was fine, thanks." Jesse said "Any word?" he asked
"None yet." he said and then turned towards his wife "Any more in the pot?" he asked
She nodded and as he sat down in another chair she pored him a cup and handed it to him. He took it gratfully and sipped on it for a moment before putting the mug down.
"We still haven't been able to find them. The person we think that has them, we aren't sure has them and we don't want to make a move until we're sure." Richard said "And we aren't even sure their on the grounds of his house."
"Do you think they could be dead?" Bo asked
Richard shrugged "We havent' seen any bodies yet, so i don't think so, but that doesn't mean much." he said
"That's a pleasant thought."Luke commented
"How did this start anyway?" Jesse asked
Richard pulled out a manila folder from the jacket he still had on. He took out a picture of Michael Davis and handed it to Jesse.
"His name is Michael Davis. He's only been in Atlanta for a little under a year." he told Jesse
"What does he do?" Luke asked "He looks harmless enough."
Richard shook his head in agreement. "He's into construction. He's building a new high rise near Lennox Mall."
"What's his involment in all this?" Jesse asked.
Richard sighed "Coy and Vance came to us with the charge of illegal money going into the building. We looked around and found that out to be true, but before we could do anything about protecting them, they went missing."
"How are we going to nail this guy." Luke asked
Richard shrugged "We're not sure about that yet. We have alot of charges on him, but nothing is sticking and we can't arrest him unless we have something that sticks." he said and then pulled out another picture. This one was of the entire family. He looked at his wife, who nodded and then at Jesse.
"There's something else to." Richard said and handed Jesse the picture.
Jesse looked at it for a moment and then handed it to Luke and Bo.
"It's her." he said "It has to be."
Bo and Luke both gasped at the same time.
"She looks. . ."Luke started to say, but was cut off by Bo.
"This is my twin sister isn't it?" he asked, remebering Jesse had told him what had happened to her when he had been old enough to understand.
Richard nodded "We think so yes." he said "Her name is Erin and she is a psychology student at Georgia State University here in Atlanta. We plan on picking her up tomorrow and questioning her to see if she knows anything."
"Are you sure that's wise?" Luke asked, looking over at Bo.
"We think so." Richard said. "If she doesn't know anything then we'll let her go. If she knows something, then we will offer her protection."
"We have to get her away from there. She belongs to this family, not their's" Bo said.
"We'll get her away from them Bo." Richard said, calming the boy "I promise you."
"This is something we can nail him with, isn't it?" Jesse asked
Richard shrugged "If we can make it stick, yes." he said "We're working on that." He quickly added
They continued to talk and plan for several more hours. Finally they gave up around 1am and went to bed. However no one slept that well that night, not knowing what was coming in the days ahead and not knowing if they were going to have to bury two cousins. All they could do was hope that everything would work out and that Coy and Vance would return to them safely and they could get Erin out of there and tell her what was going on and hope she would accept it and come back to her righfull family.

The night passed and the dawn came. Several hours after the sun rose, they found the first body. It was taken back to the FBI crimelab and was identified as that of Vance Duke. He had been shot once execution style in the head and had been dumped in a back allay somewhere in Atlanta. Bo and Luke now sat in Richards' office at the Government building drinking coffee and talking softly. Jesse had opted not to come and he was back at the house with Sarah.
Richard walked into his office and Luke looked at him
"You know." he said "This was a stupid move. This says that he is guilty and i don't see why he did it."
Richard shrugged and waved a hand in the air. "I've been in this business for years and i still don't understand why some criminals do what they do." he said "I think this is saying that we had better watch it or he will kill Coy."
"We can't let him do that." Luke said
"I know." Richard told him sitting down in his chair
"Are you still going to bring Erin in?" Bo asked, running a hand through his hair
Richard nodded "After lunch." he said
"I want to be there." Bo said
Richard nodded "That's fine."
Lunch time came and went. Around 1:30 Richard led Bo and Luke to a little room off to the side of the interrogation room. "Ya'll can watch what's going on in there through that window."Richard said, pointing to the viewing window. "If you need anything, a gaurd will be outside the door and just tell him."
"Ok. Thanks." Luke said.
Richard nodded and walked out. A short time later, he and another agent walked into the interrogation room to wait for Erin to brought in.
"Are you ok?" Luke asked Bo, who looked nervous.
Bo looked at him and nodded "I guess." he said
Luke patted Bo on the shoulder, reassuringly "Everything is going to be just fine." he said
They only had to wait a few minutes for Erin to be brought into the room. She came into the room, an agent trailing behind her.
Luke looked at her for a second. She looked alot like Bo. In fact if you took away the brown hair and maybe if she grew just a little she would be a spitting image of Bo, a female version that is.
"What is the meaning of this?" She demanded
Richard jestered to a chair. "Please Miss. Davis, have a seat and we'll tell you why we brought you in here."
Erin frowned and took a seat. She then looked back up at him expectantly.
"Look, my father has connections." she said "We can sue you for this."
Richard smiled at her "Just simmer down." he said "We only want to talk to you." he added and pulled out pictures of both Coy and Vance. He laid them down on the table and pointed to them
"Have you seen either of those two men?"
Erin didn't answer for a moment. Finally she sighed and spoke up. "The dark headed one is dead." she said. "I know where the other one is."
Frank raised his eyebrows in surprise, he wasn't totally expecting this. "You know where he is?" he asked
Erin looked at down at her hands and nodded "Yes i do. He's being held on our estate." she answered
"Where on your estate?" Richard asked.
"In one of the guard houses." she said looking at him "Your not going to be able to get in there though. It's to heavily guarded." she stopped and sighed "I shouldn't even tell you this. I could get in trouble. They don't know i know."
Richard came over to her and sat down on the table. "We'll get you protection. You'll be fine."
Erin looked at him, not really that reassured.
Richard sighed, and looked towards the window and waved for Bo and Luke to come into the room. "There's something else you need to know."
"What?" Erin said.
"Your parents arent' your real parents." he said "You were taken from the hospital shortly after you were born and given to them."
Erin nodded "I've been feeling for awhile now that i wasn't theres. I don't know why, and i was hoping i was wrong, but i just didn't feel they were my parents." she said and paused for a moment "Do you know who my real parents are?"
Bo and Luke walked into the room just in time to hear that question. Erin's eyes widened when she saw Bo.
"This is Bo and Luke Duke." Richard told her "Bo is your twin brother as you have probably noticed. Luke is a cousin."
Erin looked at them for a long moment, not saying anything and just trying to comprened what was happening.
"Where's my real mother and father?" she asked, finally "Are they here to?"
A look of pain flickered in Bo's eyes and he looked down for a moment. Finally he looked back up at her and shook his head "They died when i was almost a year old in a car accident. I was raised by an Uncle."
Erin let out a breath she hadn't realized that she had been holding
There was a knock on the door and Jackson walked in.
"Sir, we have a problem." Jackson said
"What is it Jackson?" Richard asked, annoyed
"Her family attorny is on his way up. He'll be here in a minute." Jackson answered him.
Richard nodded "Alright, thanks." he said
Jackson left and Richard turned to Erin who looked afraid.
"We're going to have to let you go." he said "But, we'll have agents tailing you and they will step in and get you out of any situation that seems bad." He told her and stood up.
Erin stood up to
"Do you think you can lie to them and keep them from knowing that you know anything?" he asked
Erin smiled slightly "I didn't do several plays for nothing." she answered "I'll be able to lie to them, but i don't know how long i can keep it up."
Richard nodded "We'll probably pick you up again tomorrow." he said
"Alright." she said and he walked her to the door.
She stopped and looked back at Bo. They looked at each other for a moment and then she crossed to him and gave him a hug. She broke it a minute later and turned back around.
"Are you ready?" Richard asked as he put his hand on the door knob. "Remember, you'll be fine. Just lead them on for a little while, until we can get you out of there and put them away."
Erin shook her head and Richard opened the door. They saw the attorney walking towards them angrily
"Uncle Walt!" Erin cried and ran over to him
Uncle Walt took Erin into his arms "Are you ok honey?" he asked "I came as soon as i heard that these guys picked you up." he added glaring at the FBI agents
"I'm ok." Erin answered "I just want to go home." she added as she started crying. She didn't have to really fake them that much since she had just had her whole world come crumbling down.
"It's ok." Walter told her, hugging her "Come on. Let's get out of here." he said and started walking towards the exit. He stopped and then looked back towards Richard "You shouldn't have done this. You are going get sued for this. My client isn't going to stand for this."
Luke burst out laughing as soon as they were out of earshot. "She played that up pretty good." he said and then got serious when Bo gave him a dirty look.
Richard shook his head
"What is it?" Bo asked
"That guy." Richard said, waving at the door "Walter Davis isn't to clean himself, let me put it that way."
"Will she be ok?" Bo asked
Richard frowned "She's going to have to be, until we can get something done."
"You don't think she's just leading us on? I know she probably isn't, but. . ." Luke shrugged.
Bo shook his head "She's not leading us on." he answered
"Can you be sure." Luke asked.
Bo nodded  and shrugged "I don't know why, but i can tell she isn't lying to us."
"I don't think she is either." Richard said and then added "Come on, lets get you to back to the house. I need to start figuring out what to do."

Davis House: a short time later
Michael and his wife met Walter and Erin at the door when they got home. Even though she didn't want to, Erin rushed into her mother's arms and started crying.
"It's ok baby." she soothed "What happened?" she demanded of Walter
Walter shrugged "The FBI took her in for question. They think we killed the boy they found dead this morning and have the other one." he answered and then waved a hand at Erin "They also told her that you aren't her real parents."
"What!" she exclaimed
"Kate, take it easy." Michael told her and then looked at Walter "What did they tell her exactly
Erin looked at her father and wiped her eyes. "They said that you stole me from the hospital. They had a guy there claiming to be my brother."
Kate hugged her daughter. "Come on. Let's go upstairs and let you rest."
"Ok," she said and they walked upstairs.
"What are we going to do?" Walter asked as soon as they were out of ear shot.
Michael shrugged "We'll discuss it when she gets back."
Up in Erin's room, Erin was laying down on the bed and Kate was sitting beside her.
"Your going to be fine." she soothed "No of what they said was true. You are our daughter and anything they say otherwise can change that."
"But what about the boy." Erin asked "He did look like me."
Kate sighed "I think your old enough now, so i'll tell you the truth. The boy is your brother. He was taken from us shortlly after the both of your were born. He isn't there's, he's ours."
Erin eyes widened "We have to get him back." she said
Kate nodded "We will honey, i promise you." she said as she got up. "Now don't worry about anything else, your father will take care of everything. Just rest.
"Ok." Erin said.
Kate turned off the overhead light as she left the room. Erin frowned, knowing she had just been lied to. This was going to be hard to keep up, she knew and she hoped that the FBI would do something about things soon.
Michael looked at his wife as she came down the steps "What did you tell her." he asked
Kate shook her head "That the boy was taken from us. He actually is ours."
Michael nodded not really liking that idea. "We've got problems here folks." he said "If that boy is her twin, then her real family is up here and talking to the FBI."
"They also appear to be related to the boy we're holding." Walter broke in.
"What are we going to do?" Kate asked
Michael frowned "Hold off on killing Coy for awhile and lay low. Try to figure out something." he said
"That doesn't sound reassuring." Kate snapped
"We'll figure something out Kate, don't worry." Michael told her "I'm thinking about something now. Just give me a few minutes."

The rest of the day passed without incedent. Michael and his crew came up with some plans and then Richard and his boys met and decided a course of action to take.
Richard walked into his house around 6pm. He found his wife and Jesse in the living room, but didn't see Bo or Luke around.
"Where are the boys?" he asked
"Upstairs." Jesse answered  "What's going on."
Richard sat down in a chair. "Nothing much. We've decided to get her out of there and give her protection. From there, we aren't sure. We're going to have to get into that compound and find Coy somehow."
"Maybe i can help you there." Bo said as he came down the steps. Luke was behind him, looking none to pleased
"How?" Richard asked
"I find her at school tomorrow and go home with her." he said.
Jesse shook his head, not liking that
"And then what?" Richard asked
"I try and gain there confidence and hopfully be able to walk around and maybe find Coy." Bo said "Then i can contact you somehow and we can go from there."
Richard considered that for a moment. He knew if he let Bo do this, it could probably mean his death, but on the other hand, it looked like the only way to be able to get to Coy and then somehow taking Davis down. He looked over at Jesse and saw that he had reached pretty much the same conclusion. "Alright, i'm going to let you do this, but your going to have to get out of there as soon as something goes wrong. I'll give a couple of my guys a call tonight and see what we can do about getting information out to us."
"I don't like this." Luke said
Bo smiled at him "I don't either that much, but it's really the only way." he said "I'll be careful."
"You better be." Luke said
The rest of the night passed and after Richard made calls and planned things out, they all went to bed. However no one slept that well that night.

Part 2
